Marvel brings the family — well, most of them — together for an epic photo

That’s not your average family reunion photo. On Thursday, Marvel released a bursting-at-the-seams shot featuring cast and crew from 10 years worth of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The pic, which was captured in October on the Atlanta set of “Avengers: Infinity War,” assembles an impressive array of actors and filmmakers from the extended MCU family.

Represented in the photo are members from all 18 previously released Marvel films, as well as three upcoming projects (“Infinity War,” “Ant-Man and the Wasp” and “Captain Marvel”).

Of course, as with any large family reunion, there are a few notable absences. Edward Norton and Terrence Howard, for instance, are nowhere to be found. Norton and Howard worked on early Marvel films, but were later replaced by Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle, respectively.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” writer/director James Gunn explained via Twitter that some people simply couldn’t make the shoot.

As if all that superhero talent in one spot isn’t enough to get fans excited, Marvel used the release of the photo to announce a sweepstakes for “the Ultimate Marvel Fan prize package.”

Prizes include tickets to the “Infinity War” premiere and a visit to the set of “Captain Marvel,” among other rewards. The sweepstakes takes place across social media platforms and will last for five weeks leading up to the release of “Infinity War.”

During that period, Marvel will select a “film of the week” and fans can post photos of themselves on Twitter or Instagram, or share their personal memories from the film of the week using the film hashtag as well as #Marvel10YearSweepstakes to enter for a chance to win.

A drawing will be held each week to announce winners. Additional details, including prize information and rules, can be found at www.marvel.com/10YearSweepstakes.
