Two new 'Solo' clips explore the new 'Star Wars Story'

In two weeks, Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm will bring audiences back to a galaxy far, far away with an all-new “Star Wars” adventure. “Solo: A Star Wars Story” introduces Alden Ehrenreich as the franchise’s iconic scoundrel, and today we’ve got two new clips to tease the latest chapter. In the player above, watch as Han Solo sits down opposite Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) for a game of Sabacc. Then, in the bottom player, check out a different kind of tabletop game as Chewbacca learns about Holochess from Woody Harrelson’s Beckett.

Directed by Ron Howard, “Solo” also stars Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo and Paul Bettany. The film is officially described as follows:

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away on this all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future co-pilot Chewbacca, and meets notorious gambler Lando Calrissian in a journey that will set the course for one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel produce with Lawrence Kasdan, Jason McGatlin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller serving as executive producers. The father-and-son team of Jonathan Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay.

“Solo: A Star Wars Story” arrives in U.S. theaters on May 25, 2018.
