A first trailer dares you to visit 'Fantasy Island'

Are you ready for a little vacation? Before you set your sights on Fantasy Island, you might want to take a look at the newly released trailer in the player below. Even though this new big screen take is based on the classic ABC television series, it offers a new twist to the place that makes dreams come true.

In Blumhouse’s new spin on Fantasy Island, the enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

Michael Peña headlines Fantasy Island as Mr. Roarke, the role made famous by the late Ricardo Montalbán. Also starring in the new version are Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen and Michael Rooker.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, Fantasy Island (Kick-Ass 2, Truth or Dare) is written by Jeff Wadlow & Chris Roach & Jillian Jacobs and is produced by Jason Blum and Marc Toberoff.

Look for Fantasy Island to hit the big screen on Valentine’s Day 2020.
