The new 'Addams Family' movie trailer wants you to get happy

It may only be August, but United Artists Releasing and MGM are getting ready for Halloween! Today, they have debuted the new trailer for the upcoming animated Addams Family movie, which hits the big screen in October. Check it out in the player below!

Get ready to snap your fingers! The first family of Halloween, the Addams family, is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, The Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor.

The Addams Family originally ran as a single panel comic strip from 1938 to 1988. In 1964, the property was adapted for the small screen with a live action series that ran for two seasons. Since then, The Addams Family has spawned several rebooted series in both animated and live action forms and, in 1991, its first feature film, directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

The new Addams Family movie features the voices of Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as Grandmama and Allison Janney as the family’s arch nemesis, Margaux Needler.

Directed By Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, The Addams Family is produced by Gail Berman and Alex Schwartz and executive produced ny Kevin Miserocchi, Andrew Mittman and Joe Earley
