New ‘Bad Times at the El Royale’ posters reveal some unusual guests

With less than two months to go before the ensemble thriller hits the big screen, 20th Century Fox has released new character posters for writer and director Drew Goddard’s “Bad Times at the El Royale”. Explore them all in the gallery viewer at the bottom of this page to  see some of the unusual guests who will be checking in this October.

Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption — before everything goes to hell.

“Bad Times at the El Royale” marks the second directorial effort from Goddard, following 2012’s “The Cabin in the Woods.” He also earned an Academy Award nomination for his work scripting Sir Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”. Other big screen writing projects include “Cloverfield” and “World War Z.” Goddard has also been very active on the small screen, executive producing series like “Daredevil,” “The Defenders” and “The Good Place.” On “The Good Place,” he has also directed episodes, including the series’ pilot.

The cast of “Bad Times at the El Royale” includes Jeff Bridges, Chris Hemsworth, Jon Hamm, Dakota Johnson, Cynthia ErivoCailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman and Nick Offerman.

A 20th Century Fox release, “Bad Times at the El Royale” hits the big screen October 5, 2018.
