Director Benh Zeitlin returns with the 'Wendy' movie trailer
It has been seven years since Benh Zeitlin debut feature, Beasts of the Southern Wild, hit theaters to critical acclaim. Although he was courted by Hollywood to try his hand at big budget fare, Zeitlin decided to instead hold off and work on a more personal project, Wendy. Today, Fox Searchlight has debuted the Wendy trailer and you can check it out for yourself in the player below.
In Wendy, J.M Barrie’s classic story, Peter Pan, is wildly reimagined as a ragtag epic. Lost on a mysterious island where aging and time have come unglued, Wendy must fight to save her family, her freedom, and the joyous spirit of youth from the deadly peril of growing up.
