Enter 'The Batman'! Take a first look at Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader

With principal photography on the DC Comics film already underway, director Matt Reeves has shared a first look at leading man Robert Pattinson in the new Batman costume! Reeves (who is also scripting alongside Mattson Tomlin) posted the below screen test to his Twitter account:

The new film stars Robert Pattinson as Gotham City’s vigilante detective, Batman, who, by day, is secretly billionaire Bruce Wayne. Starring alongside Pattinson are Zoë Kravitz (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Mad Max: Fury Road) as Selina Kyle, Paul Dano (Love & Mercy, 12 Years a Slave) as Edward Nashton, Jeffrey Wright (The Hunger Games, Westworld) as the GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro (The Big Lebowski) as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard (The Magnificent Seven, Black Mass) as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson (Farewell Amor) as mayoral candidate Bella Reál, Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the ApesBlack Panther) as Alfred, and Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Dumbo) as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman is set to open in theaters June 25, 2021 and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
