Sony Pictures reveals ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home' logo

MaThe sequel now filming in Europe, Sony Pictures has just released the official title treatment for “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. Fans got a blurry glimpse of it back in June when star Tom Holland “accidentally” posted the video reveal to his Instagram account (click here to watch). But now you can check out the “Far From Home” logo in all its high definition glory:

Spider-Man: Far From Home is headed to theaters July 2019.

Details on “Far From Home” are still few and far between, especially since the last time we saw Holland’s Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe he was offering an emotional goodbye before being wiped from existence. As for how he returns and what will be left of him, fans will have to wait until the still untitled fourth “Avengers” film next May.

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” will see the return of director Jon Watts. Rumors have emerged online that suggest Jake Gyllenhaal will play a villain (rumored to be Mysterio) and that both Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders will be back as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, respectively. At the moment, however, the only officially confirmed cast member outside of Holland is Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.

There are a few webslinging adventures that will hit the big screen before “Far From Home”. Sony Pictures is building out their own universe of Spider-Man heroes and villains, beginning with “Venom” on October 5. Then, on December 14, the animated “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” arrives. The fourth “Avengers” follows on May 3, 2019 with “Spider-Man: Far From Home” premiering July 5, 2019.
