Return to Haddonfield with five 'Halloween' movie clips

In a matter of days, Michael Myers is coming home. 40 years after John Carpenter defined the slasher genre with his original “Halloween,” comes a sequel every bit as terrifying. To celebrate Myers’ return, Universal Pictures has brought online five clips from the new “Halloween,” all of which you can check out in the players below:

Inspired by John Carpenter’s 1978 original, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride have crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the first film. Green also directs with a cast that includes Jamie Lee CurtisJudy Greer, Will Patton, Nick Castle, Andi Matichak and Omar J. Dorsey.

Carpenter himself executive produces and serves as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (“Get Out,” “Split,” “The Purge,” “Paranormal Activity”).

Producers on “Halloween” include Malek Akkad (whose Trancas International Films has produced the Halloween series since its inception) and Bill Block (“Elysium,” “District 9”). In addition to Carpenter and Curtis, Green and McBride will executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner. Ryan Freimman also serves in that role.

From Universal Pictures, Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions and Miramax, “Halloween” hits theaters October 19, 2018.
