Start off 2019 with the new 'Happy Death Day 2U' trailer

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse are ringing in the new year with another look at their upcoming time loop slasher sequel, “Happy Death Day 2U”. Check out the film’s new trailer in the player below!

Returning to the world of 2017’s “Happy Death Day,” “Happy Death Day 2U” sees the return of Jessica Rothe‘s Tree Gelbman as she discovers that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead.

The original “Happy Death Day,” released October 13, 2017, was a tremendous box office hit, pulling in more than $122 million worldwide with a budget of under $5 million.

The “Happy Death Day 2U” cast also includes Israel Broussard, reprising his role as Carter Davis.

Jason Blum once again produces and Christopher Landon returns to write and direct this next chapter. Meanwhile, “Happy Death Day” executive producers Angela Mancuso and John Baldecchi are newly joined by executive producer Samson Mucke (“Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse”).

Look for “Happy Death Day 2U” to hit the big screen this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2019.
