The 'Incredibles 2' trailer puts the Parr family back in action

Fourteen years after the original Disney•Pixar animated adventure hit the big screen, the Incredibles are back and they haven’t missed a day. “Incredibles 2,” which boasts the return of writer and director Brad Bird, picks up right where the original left off, beginning an all new comic book inspired story that is officially described as follows:

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack — whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

“Incredibles 2” also features the voices of Sophia Bush, Catherine Keener,Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks and Isabella Rossellini.

The first “Incredibles” took home an Academy Award for best animated feature film and grossed more than $633 million worldwide. Director Brad Bird also helmed Disney•Pixar’s 2007 Oscar-winning film “Ratatouille,” as well as 2011’s live-action film “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol,” 2015’s “Tomorrowland” and 1999’s BAFTA-winning animated film “The Iron Giant.”

“Incredibles 2” hits the big screen June 15. You can check out the new poster design below!
