Louisa May Alcott's classic comes to life in the 'Little Women' movie trailer

From writer and director Greta Gerwig comes a new big screen take on Louisa May Alcott’s literary classic, Little Women. Today, Sony Pictures has debuted the first trailer for the film and you can check it out in the player below!

Starring Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird), Emma Watson (Harry Potter films), Florence Pugh (Midsommar), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects), Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name), Laura Dern (Big Little Lies) and three time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, Little Women draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Alcott, which unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms — is both timeless and timely.

Amy Pascal, Denise Di Novi and Robin Swicord serve as producers on Little Women with Arnon Milchan, Adam Merims, Evelyn O’Neill and Rachel O’Connor executive producing.

Look for Little Women to hit the big screen on December 25.
