Watch as 'Mary Poppins Returns' cast and crew celebrate the new film

This Wednesday, Walt Disney Pictures invites children of all ages to experience the wonder that is “Mary Poppins Return”. Breathing new life into P.L. Travers’ iconic caretaker is Emily Blunt, who is joined by a cast that includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Julie Walters, Dick Van Dyke and many more. Cast and crew recently assembled in Hollywood for the film’s press conference and you can check out all the highlights in the player below!

Arriving more than half a century after the iconic original, “Mary Poppins Returns” has Blunt taking over the role made famous by Julie Andrews: the practically perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure.

The “Mary Poppins Returns” cast introduces three new Banks children played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson. Angela Lansbury also appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the P.L. Travers books.

“Mary Poppins Returns” is directed by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee and screen story by Magee & Marshall & John DeLuca based upon The Mary Poppins Stories by P.L. Travers. The producers are Marshall, DeLuca and Marc Platt with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer and the music is by Marc Shaiman with songs by Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

“Mary Poppins Returns” opens in theaters everywhere December 19, 2018.
