Ryan Reynolds shares a 'Free Guy' movie clip
There’s good news and bad news today surrounding 20th Century Studios’ upcoming comedy actioner Free Guy. Unfortunately, due to ongoing coronavirus concerns, the Shawn Levy film has been delayed five months. Instead of opening on July 3, the film will hit the big screen December 11. On the plus side, however, leading man Ryan Reynolds has taken to Twitter to soften the blow, offering a first Free Guy movie clip. Check it out below!
Free Guy is moving to Dec. 11. Here's a clip that's weirdly appropriate and isn’t actually finished. We cut it a while ago (while there was still a “Fox” before @20thcentury). Ignore the watermarks. And huge thanks to #Aspect for cutting it. pic.twitter.com/aJDqaGIFvT

In Free Guy, Reynolds plays a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game. He then decides to become the hero of his own story… one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way, before it is too late.
Free Guy is directed by Levy from a story by Matt Lieberman and a screenplay by Lieberman and Zak Penn. The film is produced by Reynolds, Levy, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Adam Kolbrenner with Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, George Dewey, Dan Levine and Michael Riley McGrath serving as executive producers.
