LeBron James reveals 'Space Jam: A New Legacy'

It’s hard to believe that it has been nearly a quarter of a century since the TuneSquad took on the Monstars in a game of basketball that had Michael Jordan’s cosmic fate hanging in the balance. Now, the Looney Tunes are heading back to the big screen for a new Space Jam that today has new star LeBron James officially sharing the title Space Jam: A New Legacy. Check out his Instagram post below:

Set to hit theaters on July 16, 2021, Space Jam: A New Legacy is being directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, Night School). In addition to James and the Looney Tunes themselves, Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green are attached to star. Additionally, several NBA players will be popping up, playing themselves.

Plot details on Space Jam: A New Legacy are still few and far between, but it’s probably safe to assume that an epically scaled game of basketball will be a big part of it. As always, check back for updates as soon as they become available.
