Head 'Into the Spider-Verse’ with three new 'Spider-Man' clips

In just ten days, Sony Pictures is inviting Marvel fans to head “Into the Spider-Verse”! Not only is the first ever fully animated “Spider-Man” hitting theaters on December 14th, it’s already receiving impeccable reviews, currently sitting at a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, you can get a taste of the multiversal adventure with three new movie clips. The first introduces Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and his mother, voiced by Luna Lauren Velez:

The second movie clip shows off Miles’ relationship with his father, Officer Jefferson Davis (Brian Tyree Henry):

The third clip triples the spider action, bringing in both Peter Parker (Jake Johnson) and Gwen Stacy, Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld):

From Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the creative minds behind “The LEGO Movie” and “21 Jump Street,” comes an animated take on Marvel’s Spider-Man.

“Into the Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one person can wear the mask.

Miles Morales, created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, made his comic book debut in 2011 as part of Marvel’s “Ultimate” line of comics. Set in a parallel universe to the comics’ standard continuity, the “Ultimate” books passed the torch from Peter Parker to Miles following the former’s heroic death. The Gwen Stacy version of the webslinger (affectionately known as Spider-Gwen), made her comic book debut a few years later as part of a “Spider-Verse” event that inspired the new movie.

A Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation release, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman. Look for it in theaters December 14, 2018.
