Cameras are officially rolling today on Lucasfilm Ltd. and Walt Disney Pictures‘ hugely anticipated “Star Wars” saga finale. To celebrate the beginning of “Episode IX” production, director J.J. Abrams has officially joined Twitter. You can follow him @JJAbrams and check out his first tweet — a teasingly blurry look at Finn, Chewbacca and someone else in the Millennium Falcon cockpit:
Bittersweet starting this next chapter without Carrie, but thanks to an extraordinary cast and crew, we are ready to go. Grateful for @rianjohnson and special thanks to George Lucas for creating this incredible world and beginning a story of which we are lucky to be a part. #IX pic.twitter.com/FOfnGwVut5
