'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' debuts 13 new character posters

Just in case you weren’t already aware, Lucasfilm has something special coming to theaters one month from today. From director J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker marks the conclusion to a saga four decades in the making. Today, the studio has released a baker’s dozen of character posters, showing off returning favorites like Rey, Poe Dameron, and Rose Tico alongside new character like Naomie Ackie’s Jannah and Keri Russell’s Zorii Bliss.  Check them all out in the gallery viewer below!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is directed by J.J. Abrams, who co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Chris Terrio. Returning cast members include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams and the late Carrie Fisher. Newcomers to the cast include Naomi Ackie, Keri Russell, Richard E. Grant, Matt Smith and Dominic Monaghan.

Composer John Williams, who has scored every chapter in the Star Wars saga since 1977’s A New Hope, will return to a galaxy far, far away with the new film, which is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Michelle Rejwan, and executive produced by Callum Greene and Jason McGatlin. The crew includes Dan Mindel (Director of Photography), Rick Carter and Kevin Jenkins (Co-Production Designers), Michael Kaplan (Costume Designer), Neal Scanlan (Creature and Droid FX), Maryann Brandon and Stefan Grube (Editors), Roger Guyett (VFX Supervisor), Tommy Gormley (1st AD), and Victoria Mahoney (2nd Unit Director).

A Lucasfilm Ltd. and Walt Disney Pictures release, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled to hit the big screen December 20, 2019.
