Meet the Sith Trooper from 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker'

In advance of next week’s 50th annual Comic-Con International, Lucasfilm Ltd. is teasing Star Wars fans with a glimpse at the upcoming “Sith Trooper,” who will make his or her debut in December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Pictured below is a six inch action figure version from Hasbro‘s Black Series line, but the actual Sith Trooper armor will be on display during the con.

Take a look at the Sith Trooper as he or she appears in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

“It has some really unique aesthetics to it,” Lucasfilm archivist Madlyn Burkert tells StarWars.com of the crimson design, “And it has some subtle ties to previous stormtrooper designs, which I think fans will enjoy discovering.”

In addition to the new Sith Trooper, the Lucasfilm pavilion (Booth #2913) will show off other screen used costumes from throughout Star Wars lore, including an Imperial Stormtrooper, TIE Pilot, Death Trooper, Shoretrooper, Biker Scout, First Order Stormtrooper, First Order TIE pilot and Captain Phasma. Fans will also have the opportunity to bring home their own Sith Trooper through a variety of exclusives. In addition to the Black Series figure, collectors should be on the lookout for Funko POPs, Tiki mugs, t-shirts and more (check out the full list here).

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is directed by J.J. Abrams, who co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Chris Terrio. Returning cast members include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams and the late Carrie Fisher. Newcomers to the cast include Naomi Ackie, Keri Russell, Richard E. Grant, Matt Smith and Dominic Monaghan.

A Lucasfilm Ltd. and Walt Disney Pictures release, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled to hit the big screen December 2019.
