Take a first look at the new 'Terminator'

Production is already underway on a new chapter in the “Terminator” franchise. This, the sixth big screen entry, is a bit special, however, as it will be a direct sequel to James Cameron‘s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” with Cameron himself serving as producer alongside David Ellison. The still untitled production has released a first shot of the new movie’s cast. Check it out in full at the bottom of this page for a look at franchise newcomers Natalia Reyes (“Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas”) and Mackenzie Davis (“Blade Runner 2049”) alongside Linda Hamilton, reprising her role as Sarah Connor for the first time in more than 25 years.

The new “Terminator” will also see the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger and is set to introduce a new generation of characters with additional roles for Diego Boneta (“Scream Queens”), and Gabriel Luna (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”). In the director’s chair is Tim Miller, best known for helming the first “Deadpool” movie. Plot details are, for now, being kept under wraps.

“We still fold time in the story in intriguing ways,” Cameron told The Hollywood Reporter of the project last year. “But we have Arnold’s character and Linda’s character to anchor it. Somewhere across there, and I won’t say where, the baton gets passed, so to speak.”

Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox are co-financing the film, which is scheduled for domestic release on November 22, 2019.
