Satisfy your need for speed with a new 'Top Gun: Maverick' movie trailer!

Next summer, Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films invite you back into the cockpit for the long awaited Top Gun sequel, Top Gun: Maverick. A new trailer has just been released, and you can check it out in the player below!

Although an official plot synopsis has not yet been revealed, the new film catches up with Cruise’s Navy Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. The original film, released in 1986, was directed by the late Tony Scott. Sitting in the director’s chair this time around is TRON Legacy helmer Joseph Kosinski, with whom Cruise worked on 2013’s Oblivion.

In addition to Cruise, Top Gun: Maverick is set to star Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris.
