Vin Diesel takes on the Valiant hero in the 'Bloodshot' movie trailer

Although DC and Marvel Comics may be the big two when it comes to comic books, it’s not unheard of for other publishers to have some of their own fan favorite heroes. Case in point, Valiant ComicsBloodshot. Created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton in the early 1990s, Bloodshot is now heading to the big screen with Fast and the Furious franchise star Vin Diesel set to play the title character. Today, Sony Pictures has brought online the first Bloodshot movie trailer and you can check it out in the player below!

Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too.  Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.

Also starring Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell and Guy Pearce, Bloodshot is directed by David S. F. Wilson from an adapted screenplay Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer. Producers include Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe, Dinesh Shamdasani and Diesel himself with Dan Mintz, Louis G. Friedman, Yu Dong, Jeffrey Chan, Rita LeBlanc, Buddy Patrick and Matthew Vaughn executive producing.

Bloodshot opens in theaters beginning February 21, 2020.
