Reteaming with Christian Bale, star of his 2007 3:10 to Yuma, director James Mangold is set to bring to the big screen the true story Ford v Ferrari, based on on the famous 1966 race at Le Mans. Also starring Matt Damon, the film has today released its first trailer, which you can watch in the player below!

Academy Award winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in Ford v Ferrari, based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.

Scripted by Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth and Jason Keller, Ford v Ferrari stars, in addition to Damon and Bale, Jon Bernthal, Caitriona Balfe, Tracy Letts, Josh Lucas, Noah Jupe, Remo Girone, Ray McKinnon. Directed by James Mangold, it is produced By Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Mangold himself.

A 20th Century Fox film, ‘Ford v Ferrari’ hits the big screen November 15.
