Watch Ian McKellan and Hellen Mirren in 'The Good Liar' movie trailer

New Line Cinema has just released the trailer for their upcoming thriller The Good Liar, starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and two-time Oscar nominee Ian McKellen in their first big screen pairing. Check it out in the trailer below.

Bill Condon, the Oscar winning screenwriter and director of Gods and Monsters, helms The Good Liar from a screenplay by Jeffrey Hatcher (with whom he and McKellen both worked on Mr. Holmes), based on the novel by Nicholas Searle.

The Good Liar follows career con artist Roy Courtnay (McKellen) can hardly believe his luck when he meets well-to-do widow Betty McLeish (Mirren) online. As Betty opens her home and life to him, Roy is surprised to find himself caring about her, turning what should be a cut-and-dry swindle into the most treacherous tightrope walk of his life.

The Good Liar also stars Russell Tovey (Quantico) and Jim Carter (Downton Abbey).

Greg Yolen serves as producer alongside Condon. Executive producers include Richard Brener, Andrea Johnston, Aaron L. Gilbert, Jason Cloth, Anjay Nagpal, Jack Morrissey, and Nick O’Hagan.

“The Good Liar” was filmed on location in London and Berlin. Look for it on the big screen beginning November 15.
